Audio Visual & Lighting Engineer

We’re looking for an AVL Design Specialist to design and estimate audio-visual and lighting projects. This is the perfect position for someone who is perpetually seeking new challenges, loves innovation, and is constantly raising the bar. • Perform on-site audits and take-offs off of architectural/electrical drawings.
• Work directly in concert with engineering team to deliver top-tier designs and implementations.
• Work with our Sr. Engineers and manufacturers to design audio/visual systems.
• Provide contractor assistance via on-site support and by creating wiring (one-line diagram) diagrams for AVL equipment.
• Generate detailed bill-of-materials, quotations and proposals.
• Prepare bid packages.
• Increase overall project performance.
• Ensure that estimating and purchasing budgets comply.
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Respond to sales and/or technical requests on a timely basis

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field from an accredited College or University.
• 3-5 years of experience in the AV, lighting or related industry is preferred.
• CTS or CTS-D Certification is preferred.
• Knowledge with AutoCAD and/or Vector Works is preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction plans and ability to complete material take-offs is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with PPM and estimating software is preferred.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings and understanding of low voltage electrical systems
• Experience working with and passionate about audio, visual, lighting, integration, and/or broadcasting technologies.
• High level of self-organization and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Must possess exemplary interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) and a strong analytical mindset.
