Job Description
Pay: £13.47 per hour plus benefits
Part‑time, 18.75 hours per week:
Monday‑Tuesday 9am‑5pm and Wednesday 9am‑12pm OR Wednesday 1pm‑5pm and Thursday‑Friday 9am‑5pm.

Formby, L37 4ED
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
- Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
- Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe, and welcoming, maintaining a professional environment and reporting issues.
- Work with digital systems and devices (computers, tablets, smartphones) to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
- Refer regulated work such as selling and informing clients about funeral plans to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
- Assist in manual handling of coffins and aid in preparing the deceased (pre‑viewing preparation, moving the deceased, general duties).
- Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work confidently with numbers and basic calculations such as cash handling, discounts, data entry, invoicing.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring regulatory policies and processes are followed.
- Good IT skills, able to use a range of technology devices and systems (computers, tablets, smartphones, printers) and learn new applications.
- Passion for delivering great service and building relationships.
- High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
- Ability to carry out the physical elements of the role, such as moving coffins in preparation for family viewings (training and equipment will be provided).
