The Governors of St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a talented, nurturing and highly motivated Class Teacher to join our dedicated, skilled and supportive team. St Gregory’s is a Christ‑centred school, where children are nurtured to flourish personally, socially, emotionally and academically. Visitors and professionals recognise that pupils at St Gregory’s are very well prepared for the next stage of their education and that leaders have created a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a teacher who shares that ambition and belief in every child, regardless of need or background.

Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that has recently been judged by OFSTED to have achieved the Strong Standard in all seven areas, with safeguarding fully met. In our December 2025 visit, inspectors recognised that "pupils experience a strong sense of belonging in this welcoming and nurturing school" and described our staff as a "highly developed and effective team," where "staff morale is high."

They praised St Gregory’s ambitious, coherently sequenced curriculum and research‑informed practice, noting that pupils achieve well over time, read fluently and confidently, and are a credit to the school, leaving St Gregory’s as very well prepared for the next stage of their education; ready to flourish as responsible citizens.

  • Hold the Catholic Teaching Certificate or be willing to complete it whilst in post.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and relational skills and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Be willing to coordinate (or initially contribute to) an area of the primary curriculum (please state curriculum strengths and interests).
Benefits
