Position: Special Educational Needs Teacher
SEN Teacher in Sefton.

Randstad Education is seeking a highly capable and committed SEN Teacher for a crucial, long-term role. Are you passionate about delivering specialised education and making a measurable difference for students with varied learning needs? If so, this position in Sefton is ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and teaching engaging lessons that are effectively differentiated for individual student requirements.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments and using data to track and guide student progress.
  • Modifying curriculum materials to ensure full accessibility for all learners.
  • Working seamlessly with support staff, parents, and external professional services.
  • Maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is absolutely essential.
  • Proven history teaching students with diverse Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a recognised UK school environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice, effective intervention strategies, and advanced pedagogical techniques.
  • Exceptional resilience, adaptability, proactive work ethic, and strong classroom management skills.
  • A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is required, or the immediate willingness to secure one.

Highly Desired: A relevant specialist SEN qualification or significant experience supporting pupils with complex or profound learning difficulties.
