We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join a dedicated team on a maternity cover basis starting in the second half of the Autumn term. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in continuing the high standards of teaching and learning within the Key Stage 1 team.

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
• Plan and assess pupils  work in accordance with school and national standards.
• Maintain accurate records of pupils  progress and contribute to reporting and parent consultations.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports learning and well-being.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.
• Contribute to the wider school community and participate in school events and activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 2.
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, phonics (e.g., Little Wandle/Read Write Inc), and SATs preparation.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• A nurturing, reflective, and resilient teaching style.
