We are looking for a resilient, empathetic, and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our close‑knit team. If you are passionate about breaking down barriers to learning and making a tangible difference in young people's lives, we want to hear from you.

In this role, no two days are the same. Working closely with class teachers, you will provide vital academic, social, and emotional support to pupils aged 11‑16. Your day starts at 08:30, helping students transition smoothly into the school day, and finishes at 15:30 after ensuring a safe and positive dismissal.

• Tailored Support:
  Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to students with ASD and SEMH profiles.
• De‑escalation & Emotional Regulation:
  Utilize positive behaviour strategies to support pupils through moments of crisis or anxiety.
• Building Independence:
  Help students develop crucial life skills, social communication skills, and emotional resilience.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work alongside teachers, therapists, and parents to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

You don't necessarily need years of formal school experience, but you do need the right mindset. We are looking for someone who is:

• Patient & Empathetic:
  Possesses a deep understanding of (or a strong desire to learn about) neurodiversity, ASD, and SEMH.
• Resilient:
  Able to remain calm, grounded, and positive under pressure or during challenging behaviour.
• A Great Communicator:
  Expert at building trust and rapport with young people who may find communication difficult.
• Proactive:
  Ready to dive in, bring new ideas, and be a reliable team player.

Experience with positive handling or specific ASD/SEMH interventions is a major plus, but comprehensive training will be provided.
