Salary: From £140 per day

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

This rewarding Cover Teacher role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a positive difference in the lives of young people across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high expectations of behaviour, and ensuring pupils continue to make progress in the absence of their regular classroom teacher.

This Cover Teacher position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching experience while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

As a Cover Teacher, your duties will include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress where required.
• Encouraging pupil engagement, participation, and achievement.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and school leaders.
• Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Successful applicants will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching within a UK secondary school environment.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly to different school settings.
• A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
