We are actively recruiting proactive, clear-communicating Cover Supervisors for high schools across Southport (PR8 and PR9).

This is the ultimate role for classroom assistants, support workers, sports coaches, youth group leaders looking for hands-on classroom leadership experience.

• Practical background in SEN support, care work, youth mentoring, 1:1 assistance, or classroom support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teenagers.
• Confidence with classroom management and handling low-level disruption assertively.
• Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

• Supervise high school classes (KS3 & KS4) during short-term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-set work and learning instructions provided by the department.
• Maintain strong classroom control using the school's positive behaviour policies.
• Keep students focused and on-task throughout each lesson period.
• Collect completed work and report back to the subject department head.
