We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN College Learning Support Tutor to join a specialist educational setting in Southport
. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential in a college environment.
The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis
, providing the opportunity to secure a long-term position within a supportive and rewarding setting.
- Provide learning support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Assist learners both in the classroom and through one-to-one support sessions.
- Support the delivery of engaging and accessible learning activities.
- Promote independence, confidence, and personal development among students.
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to meet individual learner needs.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to learner reviews and support plans.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience working with children or young adults with SEN, SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues.
- A relevant qualification in education, support work, health and social care, or a related field is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
