Hugh Baird University is seeking a Head of Faculty to lead a diverse and high-profile curriculum area, driving excellence in teaching, learning and student achievement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the educational experience of people while leading and developing talented teaching staff within a thriving Higher Education environment. You'll play a pivotal role in setting standards, driving continuous improvement and ensuring students achieve their full potential.
About the RoleAs Head of Faculty, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a facility creating a culture where high expectations, innovation and collaboration thrive.
- Meeting learner achievement and progress targets in line with College KPIs across the provision within scope
- Meeting targets pertaining to learner attendance and punctuality in line with agreed KPIs.
- Meeting targets related to learner progress including achievement of high grades and progress, value added and other relevant performance measure
- Meeting targets determined by the Access & Participation Plan
- Development of the faculty business plan, curriculum offer and future delivery in response to learner, community, employer and skills needs
We are looking for a confident and credible educational leader who can motivate others and deliver measurable impact.
You will bring:
- A degree and recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of leading curriculum quality improvement.
- Successful management experience in the Higher Education Sector
- A track record of raising standards and improving performance.
- Strong understanding of achievement, progress measures and value-added performance.
- Experience of managing and developing staff to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills.
- A passion for student success and an unwavering commitment to educational excellence.
