Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day financial management of UK and EU-based operations
- Liaise with China-based finance team to ensure smooth reconciliations, reporting, and intercompany transactions
- Cooperate with the external accountant to prepare the company's annual financial statements and complete the audit report, ensuring compliance with UK legal requirements, including value-added tax returns, corporate tax and company declarations
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and maintain the fixed asset register
- Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
- Support external accountants and auditors with documentation and reporting
- Monitor performance against budget.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with global finance teams
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Monitor and manage cash flow across UK, EU, and US bank accounts
- Handle currency transfers and monitor foreign exchange exposure
- Monitor Salaries and commissions for all ROW employees and budget departmental salaries.
Project & Cost Accounting
- Track project-specific budgets, actual spend, and forecast accuracy
- Reconcile landed costs and inventory movements in coordination with supply chain/logistics teams
Controls & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain finance controls and documentation for UK operations
- Support the implementation of accounting best practices, system improvements, and ERP data integrity

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Associate oversee the financial operations of our UK-based entity and support global coordination with our finance team in China. You will play a key role in ensuring financial compliance, cash flow management, intercompany reporting, and cross-border transactions.

This role closes on Friday 27th February. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an initial interview, followed by a task and panel interviews taking place during the week commencing 2nd March.
Qualifications and experience- 4+ years of experience in a finance/accounting role
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting systems, preferably Xero
- Experience with EU and UK VAT system and transactions
- Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
- Understanding of cross-border transactions, FX, and multi-currency environments
- Comfortable working across time zones, currencies and remote teams
- Salary of £29,000 - £40,000 per annum.
- Office based role, located in Southport Northwest
- Experience in a multi-entity or international business
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience with landed cost accounting and international trade
- Mandarin language skills or prior experience working with China-based teams
