Domiciliary Care Workers - Driver/Non drivers

Location:

Southport, Merseyside

Salary: up to £13.20 per hour

Vacancy Type:
Part-time + additional overtime hours available

The Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the wellbeing of others and possess relevant experience in senior care, dementia care, or hospice care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed guidelines
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
  • Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' quality of life

Driver Role - applicants must have a valid driving licence and access to their own car.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is desirable
  • Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or senior care is advantageous
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs, training provided
  • Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanour
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
