At Belong Birkdale, we’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Team Lead to join our dedicated team. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of one of our households, supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding care while ensuring our customers enjoy a fulfilling, independent and meaningful life.

Working Pattern

Full time hours and requires flexibility to work a combination of:

  • 8:00am to 3:00pm shifts
  • 3:00pm to 10:0pm shifts
  • Alternate weekends, including both Saturday and Sunday
What You’ll Be Doing

As a Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of your household team, ensuring high‑quality care and support is delivered at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and supporting a team of Support Workers.
  • Managing and coordinating staff rotas.
  • Overseeing medication administration, ordering and auditing.
  • Maintaining and updating person‑centred care plans.
  • Conducting supervisions and one‑to‑one meetings with colleagues.
  • Supporting the development and wellbeing of team members.
  • Promoting independence, dignity and choice for our customers.
  • Supporting individuals living with dementia and other age‑related conditions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Building positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with Belong policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Acting as a positive role model and championing Belong’s values in everything you do.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent care and supporting others to be their best.

Essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
  • Experience working within an adult social care setting.
  • Experience administering medication.
  • Experience leading, supervising or mentoring care colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A caring, compassionate and person‑centred approach.
  • Ability to work the required shift pattern, including alternate weekends.
Desirable
  • Experience supporting older people living with dementia.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and best practice within care services.
