Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has occurred to recruit a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse for Critical Care.
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, experienced Critical nurse to join our high performing Team, recognised nationally for their outstanding provision of patient care.
You will be given the opportunity to learn and develop management skills supported by Nationally Recognised Critical Care Competency Framework.
Critical care qualification is essential.
Due to current service demands, we are only able to consider applicants who have relevant UK experience. Candidates must also be available to commence employment immediately or within a very short timeframe. We regret that we cannot progress applications that do not meet these essential requirements. Main duties of the jobYou wil be enthausiatic, motivated and commited to driving forward positively to enhance patient experience, whilst being adaptable to a changing environment that prides itself on quality and efficiency.
- To provide leadership, management and Team development, contributing to setting goals and benchmarking standards of care.
- You must be dedicated and experienced within Critical Care, having the ability to multi task and proritise your workload and that of your team .
- On a shift to shift basis supervise and coordinate effective planning, delivery, evaluation and monitoring of care within Critical Care.

Community ServicesProviding adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancashire. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional ServicesWe provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
