Care Assistant

Do you live in Crosby, Formby or the surrounding areas and fancy a job where you can genuinely make a difference to someone's day?

Whether you're an experienced Care Assistant or you're completely new to care, we'd love to hear from you! What matters most to us is having the right attitude and wanting to make a positive difference.

• £13.51 per hour

• 30p per mile between client visits

• Full-time and part-time hours available

• Minimum 20 hours per week

• Rotas provided 2 weeks in advance

• Full training provided

• Genuine opportunities to progress your career

• £500 refer-a-friend scheme

• Reward Gateway discounts and recognition

• Support from a friendly and supportive team

You'll be supporting people in their own homes, helping them to live as independently as possible.

Every visit is different, but you could be:

• Helping someone get ready for their day

• Supporting with washing, dressing and personal care

• Preparing a meal or helping someone with eating and drinking

• Supporting with medication

• Helping with everyday tasks around the home

• Having a chat and providing companionship

• Encouraging independence and confidence

• Getting to know the people you support and building genuine relationships

• Keeping families and colleagues updated about any changes or concerns

Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference — a friendly face, a cup of tea, a good chat or helping someone have a better day.

We're looking for people who are:

• Caring and compassionate

• Friendly and approachable

• Reliable and responsible

• Happy working as part of a team

• Respectful and patient

• Committed to putting the people we support first

No previous care experience? That's absolutely fine.

We'll provide you with full training and ongoing support through the Optimo Learning Academy, so you'll have everything you need to feel confident in your role.

For certain routes, you'll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Care is provided 7 days a week between 7:00am and 11:00pm.

We're looking for people who can commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week and are available to work every other weekend.

We'll provide your rota 2 weeks in advance, helping you balance work with your life outside of work.

We're part of the Optimo Care Group, but we're proud to provide local, community-based care where the relationships you build really matter.

You'll get to know the people you support, become a familiar face and play an important part in helping them remain independent in their own homes.

If you're looking for a rewarding job in Crosby or Formby where you can come to work knowing you've made a difference to someone's day, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note:

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and valid permission to work in the UK.
