Retail Assistant - Part Time

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Southport, Merseyside. This is a permanent part‑time position requiring a minimum of 20 hours worked over 4 days each week, including weekends.

• Hours:
  
  20 hours across 4 days per week.
• Pay: £10.95–£12.81 per hour depending on age (16‑20: £10.95; 21+: £12.81)

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills; offer help to pack and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines keeping the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

• Friendly, positive, and hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy and able to juggle tasks such as deliveries, tills, customer service, cleaning, and stock rotation.
• Reliable; dependable for each shift without letting the team down.
• Flexible with shifts; able to cover for other team members when needed. Rotas are planned three weeks in advance, and personal commitments are considered.
