Logistics Planner / Coordinator - East Hampshire - GU35

£35k + Bens + Excellent package

Key Site Stats:

Warehouse size approx. 150k sq ft. Currently in the middle of moving from a manually driven operation to a heavily automated site. Headcount of c50 on site across all functions. An Average of 150 pallets inbound pallets per day & 6000 active SKU's Automation systems include SAP, mobile bar coding, digital data collection to automate warehouse transactions, KNAPP, Linde & others.

Role

Summary:

To support the Sales and Operations Planning Manager with the planning and execution of inbound and outbound logistics activities, working in conjunction with the sales channels through to the warehouse operation to maximise sales and optimise customer service. Owning the relationship with purchasing and inventory to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products into the warehouse for onward delivery to customers.

Work extremely closely with the Sales and Operations team and National Logistics team to effectively plan outbound deliveries.

What does this role Involve
  • Creating and publishing inbound and outbound schedules.
  • Monitoring shipments to ensure that delivery targets are met via upstream supply chain partners.
  • Elevating Inbound resources and driving the visibility of key, high value SKUs through the business
  • Driving timely execution of information share and tasks through appointed owners across organisation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Ensure that main releases are planned and executed flawlessly.
  • To work collaboratively with the wider operations team to ensure product availability in the right place at the right time to service orders in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • To support the Sales and Operations Commercial Manager in gathering, consolidating and circulating relevant information from Purchasing, Sales, Outbound and Inbound planning to aid efficient order processing.
  • Support with driving continuous improvement of sales and operational planning process, inputting to the construction of RACI matrix.
  • Inputting into the development of streamlines workflow planning from order receipt to dispatch.
  • Follow up of cross-functional actions and agreed timelines, alerting and red flags to key stakeholders and Sales and Operations Development of cross-functional KPI's that provide meaningful information and insights to inform continuous improvement.
  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning meeting and circulate actions and agreements to key stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with the Sales & Operations Planning Manager, understand the key strategic objectives for priority products and work with all stakeholders to meet these objectives within AUK's strategic priorities.
  • Attend off-site meetings, shows and events as required to continuously develop knowledge of the Sales & Operational Planning processes.
  • Help to drive continuous improvement of the sales and operational planning.
