The role
We're looking for an Audit Junior to join our growing team in Borehamwood.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to develop their skills within audit while working towards a professional qualification.
You’ll support the delivery of high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with Managers and senior members of the team. You’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience across audit assignments, client work and statutory requirements, while progressing through a fully funded ACA/ACCA study package.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assisting with audit assignments and completing allocated audit areas to a high standard
- Preparing and maintaining accurate audit working papers and supporting documentation
- Analysing client data and financial information as part of audit procedures
- Supporting senior team members with planning and completion of audit assignments
- Ensuring client work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Working within agreed budgets and keeping Managers informed of progress
- Developing knowledge of audit procedures, accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Assisting with client queries and requests where required
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc duties and projects as required
You’re organised, motivated and keen to build a career in audit. You enjoy learning new skills, solving problems and working as part of a supportive team.
You’re willing to get involved, take responsibility for your work and develop your technical knowledge while gaining practical experience.
You communicate clearly and professionally, and you’re committed to delivering a high standard of work.
You’ll also bring- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related subject preferred but not essential
- An interest in studying towards ACA/ACCA or another professional qualification
- Previous experience within an accounting or audit environment desirable but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A flexible approach and willingness to support colleagues when required
