You’ll be teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 Geography
, with the possibility of contributing to KS5 depending on your qualifications. This position is ideal for a passionate Geography educator eager to inspire and engage students in exploring the world around them.
Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching if applicable.
Create engaging, stimulating lessons that help students connect with the subject.
Tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
Regularly assess student progress and offer feedback to help them succeed.
Prepare students for GCSE Geography exams with structured lessons and revision sessions.
Collaborate with the Geography department on planning and curriculum development.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that promotes active participation.
Implement school policies to manage behaviour and create a safe learning environment.
Get involved in extracurricular activities, including field trips and departmental projects.
Build effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support success.
QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in Geography or a closely related field.
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 & KS4); KS5 experience is an advantage.
A passion for Geography with the ability to make lessons engaging and relevant.
Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.
Ability to adapt lessons to suit the needs of students of different abilities.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
