Computer Science Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term Position

A well-established secondary school in Borehamwood is looking for a passionate and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join their team from February 2026. This full-time, long-term position is perfect for someone with a genuine interest in technology and computing, who is excited about inspiring students and preparing them for the digital future.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Plan and teach engaging lessons that develop students' problem‑solving, coding, and analytical skills
  • Support the development of practical computing skills, including programming and digital literacy
  • Create a positive and stimulating sentenced environment where students are encouraged to explore new technologies
  • Assess student performance, provide caracteriza feedback, and track progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, resources, and best practices
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or tech challenges
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – preferred but not essential
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge in programming, algorithms, and digital technology
  • Ability to inspire students and foster a love for technology and computing
  • Jim Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Passion for developing students' technical skills and preparing them for the future
