SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Radlett, Hertfordshire
Daily Rate: £85.50 £ 120 per day
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated, patient and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming school in Radlett. This is a full-time opportunity to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop confidence and reach their full potential within a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Support teaching and learning under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Encourage pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Assist with behaviour management using positive and consistent approaches.
  • Adapt support to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Build positive working relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Encourage pupils to develop independence, confidence and resilience throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs, is desirable but not essential.
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
