About Barnet and Southgate College

We change lives, empower individuals and connect communities.

We are an ambitious, forward-thinking further education college in North London, proud to serve diverse communities across Barnet, Southgate and beyond. Our 2030 Vision is bold: to be a leading provider of learning and skills development, fostering exceptional educational experiences, driven by innovation, collaboration and excellence.

The Business, Travel and IT team is one of the most cohesive and consistently high‑performing departments in the college. The team is forward-thinking, employment-focused and committed to ensuring every learner leaves with more than just a qualification. If you are looking for a place where your industry knowledge is valued, your development is supported and your contribution makes a visible difference, this is it.

Are you passionate about business education and excited by the opportunity to teach within a dynamic football academy setting? Boreham Wood Football Academy provides learners with a distinctive environment where academic study, professional standards, personal development and sporting ambition come together. If you are committed to helping young people build the knowledge, confidence and employability skills they need for their next steps, we would love to hear from you.

As a Business Lecturer at Boreham Wood Football Academy, you will support learners aged 16 and above to develop strong business knowledge alongside the wider skills needed to progress in sport, employment, apprenticeships or higher education. You will bring business concepts to life through relevant, practical and engaging teaching that connects classroom learning with real-world careers and learner aspirations.

This is an opportunity to be part of a focused academy model where education and football work together to raise ambition, strengthen discipline and support progression. You will work closely with colleagues to create a purposeful learning experience that helps learners understand the business side of sport, develop professional behaviours and prepare confidently for their future pathways.

Both full time and part time roles are available. Please indicate your preference in your application.
