Overview
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance function within a fast-paced FMCG environment. This role requires a detail‑oriented professional with a strong focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Financial Leadership & Reporting- Deliver monthly management accounts with full balance sheet integrity, supported by clear commentary and KPI analysis
- Continuously improve financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions
- Manage the year‑end process, including audit preparation and liaison with external advisors
- Oversee weekly performance reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Conduct site/venue audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Provide financial modelling and support for commercial initiatives, including new openings and investments
- Manage cash flow forecasting, payment cycles, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of revenue reporting across multiple income streams and systems
- Oversee statutory reporting requirements including VAT and other sector‑specific returns
- Support payroll processing and reconciliation
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial information
- Provide guidance and oversight to transactional finance functions
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support key business decisions
- Contribute to operational and financial improvement initiatives across the organisation
- Qualified by experience in a similar role
- A recognised part‑qualified accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Proven experience in the accounting and finance sector, ideally within hospitality
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance practices
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement
- Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum
