Role: Finance Manager
Location: Elstree Aerodrome, Hertfordshire (office-based)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 gross per annum (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm

A long-established and highly respected business based at Elstree Aerodrome is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day finance function.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll oversee the company’s financial operations, from multi‑currency accounts and payroll to VAT, reconciliations, credit control and management reporting. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in supporting the continued success and growth of the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day‑to‑day finance function across GBP, EUR and USD accounts. Manage supplier invoices, payments and maintain accurate financial records. Process payroll, NEST pension contributions and supplier payment runs. Complete multi‑currency bank reconciliations, UK & Netherlands VAT returns, petty cash and company credit card reconciliations. Manage credit control, customer statements and aged debtors, liaising with customers and the senior management team regarding outstanding accounts.
Produce monthly management reports, including cash flow, aged debtors, aged creditors, bank balances and business KPIs. Work closely with the Managing Director, Purchasing Manager, Trade Sales Manager and Business Development Director to support financial planning and decision‑making. Support budgeting, forecasting, year‑end accounts and identify opportunities to improve finance processes.
Previous Finance Manager or similar accounts experience.
Strong bookkeeping, payroll and VAT knowledge. Experience managing multi‑currency accounts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using Access Dimensions accounting software would be advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
Highly organised, accurate and able to manage multiple priorities independently whilst working collaboratively within a team.
Full UK driving licence and own transport, with the ability to commute reliably to Elstree Aerodrome. Legal right to work in the UK with excellent contactable references.
