School Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable a School Caretaker to join a dedicated site team in the Borehamwood This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong "can-do" attitude and a background in trades, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students and staff.

Role Overview

Pay Rate: £16 per hour.

Hours:

40 hours per week.

Shift: 9am-5pm

Location:

Borehamwood

Key Responsibilities

Site Security:
Responsibility for the opening and closing of school premises, ensuring all areas are secure.

Health & Safety:
Ensuring walkways are clear and safe.

Grounds Upkeep:
General maintenance of outdoor areas, including litter picking and seasonal tasks (e.g., gritting during winter).

Contractor Liaison:
Assisting external contractors during site visits and ensuring works are completed safely.

Requirements

Vetting: A valid Enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.

Reliability: A punctual and dependable approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Communication:
Good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with school leadership, staff, and pupils.
