Finance Director

Overview

Due to this growth our client is now seeking to recruit a commercially focussed Financial Director to work closely with the directors of the business assisting them in taking the business to the next level in line with its 5 year strategy.

• Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
• Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
• Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel
• Oversee the external audit and liaise directly with the auditors
• Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with banks, customers and suppliers
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis and report directly to the board
• Assist with hiring a finance manager/assistant to support you in your role
• Ensure the stock system is properly maintained and reporting accurate figures
• Conduct analysis to make financial forecasts and cash flows
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
• Budgets
• Forecasts

• Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and preferably experience with Xero
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
