Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience in chemical/petrochemical production facilities.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both operations and maintenance teams.
- Comfortable working alongside hourly I&E technicians.
- Experience with Emerson Delta
V systems and instrumentation (PLC experience is a plus, though limited use on-site). - Familiarity with SAP.
- Background in chemical or petrochemical production environments.
- Knowledge of Foundation Fieldbus (Ozzy bus system).
Support two attached plants (Flash and Clinch) and collaborate closely with the electrical and mechanical leads on small capital projects such as installing recycle mash lines, head tanks, valves, and transmitters—without responsibility for DCS work. Each day begins with a conference call alongside operations and maintenance teams to review planned and emergency jobs, determine electrical or mechanical needs, and assist instrumentation techs with calibrations and procedure development.
The role involves updating and verifying BOMs, using SAP to manage inventory and failure data, and modernizing legacy instrumentation systems including level transmitters, radars, gauges, pressure transmitters, and gas analyzers. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and planning repairs, preparing preventative maintenance plans, developing design specs, managing improvement projects, supporting other project managers, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and following site safety and change management procedures.
Over time, the role will expand to include automation-driven process and productivity improvements.
Up to $128,000 - $150,000 per year, with exact compensation based on skills, experience, and education.
