Overview

We are a North Louisiana-based dental lab with over 36 years of experience. Our focus is on providing high‑quality orthodontic appliances that create beautiful smiles for children and adults.

Job Responsibilities and Necessary Skills
  • Design and construct orthodontic appliances used to straighten teeth.
  • Operate equipment and use small tools to construct orthodontic appliances.
  • Exhibit excellent hand dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Work as a team player with a positive, punctual attitude.
  • Hold a Dental Lab Technician certificate and/or training.
  • Complete wire bending and other related tasks.

Pay is based on experience. The role is located in Bossier City, LA. Estimated salary: $18 and up per hour.

Experience

Orthodontic appliance wire bending: 1 year (preferred).

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Read prescriptions or specifications and examine models to determine design.
  • Fabricate, alter, and repair dental devices such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, and appliances for straightening teeth.
  • Test appliances for conformity and accuracy using articulators and micrometers.
  • Place tooth models on apparatus to evaluate function, melt metals, and pour materials into molds.
  • Prepare metal surfaces for bonding with porcelain and polish finished prostheses.
  • Create full mouth models by pouring plaster into impressions.
Possible Needed / Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Work with plaster, wax, porcelain, plastic, gold, and other metals.
  • Use hand tools, electric drills, presses, lathes, and furnaces.
  • Good vision and color sense.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Excellent hand‑eye coordination and artistic aptitude.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma with courses in art, ceramics, metalwork, and chemistry recommended.
  • On‑the‑job training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification, National Association of Dental Laboratories preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Exposure to hazards such as chemicals, dust, hot objects.
  • Must wear protective equipment (goggles, gloves, masks).
