This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, in-person staff position located on-site at our Bossier Campus. Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in business or academic office.
  • Excellent computer skills with one (1) year work experience with different data systems.
  • Banner data system experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
  • Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.

This position is responsible for administrative coordination for the support and development of programs and services in the Office of Academic Affairs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the annual catalog publication;
    Monitor and fulfill Help Desk requests for changes to the catalog throughout the year.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction and the LCTCS, Board of Regents, regarding new courses, new programs, and changes that require board approval.
  • Assist the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction with the planning, preparation, and execution of commencement, New Faculty Institute, and other events presented by Academic Affairs.
  • Assist the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction with coordinating curricular proposals before the Curriculum Committee.
  • Provide support to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction with the collecting and compiling data from Academic Deans for Board of Regents and LCTCS reports.
  • Manage, maintain and annually update records, as requested by the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction, of Academic Affairs policies, MOU’s, etc. within the Academic Affairs Division.
  • Manage, maintain, annually update and add new academic programs to the Louisiana Workforce Commission Services for Providers for the academic programs that are offered by Bossier Parish Community College.
  • Serves as the liaison between Academic Affairs and the Registrar/Admissions Office, Financial Aid, and Finance regarding candidates for graduation.
  • Assist with registration events.
  • Maintain the Canvas course for graduates and coordinate correspondence to candidates for graduation.
  • Prepare check requests and requisitions, and coordinate processing of check requests and requisition related to commencement.
  • Maintain electronic records of curricular changes.
  • Maintain electronic records of program reviews.
  • Crosstrain with other positions in the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction or the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
