This posting is for a full-time 9-month, unclassified, faculty position on site at our Bossier Campus. Anticipated start date is January 5, 2026.

Education Requirement
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with the intent to or actively pursuing a Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered Nurse in Louisiana.
  • Current BLS - Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer Instructor certification preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting prior to appointment.
  • College-level nursing education teaching experience preferred.
  • Exceptional knowledge in the areas of medical - surgical nursing.
Skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with students and faculty.
  • Exceptional organizational skills necessary to coordinate laboratory, classroom, and clinical setting.
  • Competence in the use of computer technology to deliver instruction.
Instructor Duties
  • Instruction of students in nursing.
  • Contributions to the continued development of the curriculum.
  • Participation in professional growth and community service.
  • Maintenance of conference and academic advising hours.
  • Committee work.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
