Technical Services Consultant – Polymer/Wastewater
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Polymer and Pretreatment, the Technical Services Consultant provides application support to sales representatives and clients in product screenings and treatment program selection, troubleshooting treatment programs to meet customer cost and performance objectives, and preparing written trip reports documenting recommendations and results. The position supports Chem Treat field sales representatives across the United States, Canada, and Latin America, contributing to water quality and wastewater solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide polymer expertise in the Chemical/Refining and Food & Beverage verticals with support to Chem Treat field sales representatives as needed throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
The ideal candidate will be located in the Houston area and travel throughout the continental U.S. 70% of the time (average of three days/ two nights per week). The role is part of the Polymer team located in Houston and will be remote

- Provide field sales technical assistance and product recommendations. This includes plant surveys, proposal preparation, sales presentations, application testing, and customer/prospect entertainment.
- Apply knowledge of polymer chemistry, polymer uses, and testing procedures.
- Provide expertise to Chem Treat sales representatives in product screening, treatment program selection, application of chosen programs, and troubleshooting to meet cost and performance objectives.
- Travel throughout the continental U.S. on an average of three days/two nights per week.
- Provide field troubleshooting and technical assistance as required, including problem solving, on‑site training, operator training, and equipment inspections.
- Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields is required.
- Ten+ years of field experience in water and wastewater treatment is considered equivalent to a four‑year degree.
- 5 or more years’ experience with a major water treatment company.

Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $145,000 - $155,000 USD per year. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
