• Provide phone support with the customer to resolve issues pertaining to future and current releases of IMIS.
• Run vulnerability assessments (STIGs/SCAP) and add additional security controls to reduce the attack surface of operating systems and network equipment.
• Recommend evaluated hardware based on customer needs and ensure hardware meets security requirements (e.g., no unwanted wireless features).
• Make adjustments to operating systems and other COTS software to help with configuration management and installation; create tools to secure operating systems and applications.
• Build packaging and tooling to install, remove, set up, and check packages for the customer.
• Research latest CVEs for software and hardware and create documentation for OS patches and CVEs.
• Run vulnerability assessments on lab systems and hardware; update custom STIG tools and recommend additional security controls.
• Set up network environments for testing; troubleshoot network issues with systems and assist with field network issues.
• Configure templates provided to the customer based on business changes and provide procedures and support for troubleshooting potential network issues.
• Set up routing protocols in lab environments on physical and virtual switches, firewalls, and routers to test various scenarios.
• Contribute to completion of major engineering programs and projects; develop solutions to highly complex engineering problems.
• Perform highly complex systems design, development, and integration from the start to the end of the systems life cycle.
• Oversee highly complex infrastructure: installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Perform highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis; provide ongoing maintenance for security, backup, and redundancy.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects; maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.
• Act as team lead or mentor as needed.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in a related IT field.
• Required Experience:
  
  8+ years of related experience; additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• US Citizenship required.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.

• Git Lab repository management.
• FIPS 140‑2, Common Criteria, JSIG Processes, STIG Processes.
• Cisco ASA, switching, routing, and configuration.
• Software and hardware quality assurance.
• Unix, Linux, Oracle Solaris.
• LDAP integration.

• Required Certification:
  Security+ CE or DoD 8140 equivalent.

Likely salary range: $85,000 – $115,000. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements.
