Role Overview

Sr Specialist – Environmental – Energy Transfer

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply company environmental policies across your area of responsibility to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate and provide technical support to operations, engineering, regulatory and construction personnel.
  • Manage regional program to ensure operations comply with applicable environmental regulations, permits, authorizations and agreements.
  • Prepare and oversee environmental reports to agencies such as EPA & LDEQ.
  • Prepare and oversee environmentally related permit applications.
  • Represent the company in interactions with federal, state, local environmental agencies and industry meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of current federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations that impact natural gas operations.
  • Interpret regulations and provide training to personnel to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in preparation and implementation of operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop environmental scopes of work, manage records, train and conduct audits of operations and construction activities.
  • Write and review environmental procedures.
  • Review, comment and communicate new environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • HS Diploma with a minimum of 6+ years in environmental compliance.
  • Proficient knowledge of Air, Solid Waste, and Wastewater regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Clean Air Act (CAA) – NSPS, LDAR, NESHAP MACT Rules.
  • Knowledge of the Clean Water Act (CWA) – SPCC and NPDES Regulations.
  • 6+ years of field environmental experience, preferably in midstream operations.
  • Proficient knowledge of pipeline experience or equivalent.
  • Working proficiency with PC software (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
Working Conditions
  • Normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial settings; may involve exposure to materials, chemicals, extreme temperatures and loud machinery; personal protective equipment required.
