Sr Systems Engineer

Location:

Bossier City, LA

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday 10 hours a day (40 hr week). Hours can be flexible; can come in earlier and can get off earlier, but must be onsite during core hours (8-5)

Type: 6-month contract to hire w/ client

Pay: $55-65/hr then $98-120k conversion w/ client

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, additional years of experience in lieu of degree can be considered.
• Required Experience:
  
  5-7+ years of related experience in Systems Engineering.
• Required Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Red Hat, Linux and Solaris (a plus).
• Security Clearance Level: Secret.
• Security+ CE certification/DoD 8140 compliant.
• Location:
  
  On site in Bossier City, LA.

• Contributes to completion of major engineering programs and projects.
• Assists in solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems.
• Assists in highly complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end.
• Assists in overseeing highly complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools, Firewalls, Switches.
• Performs highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Performs continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems.
• Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
• Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and works with management to evolve current processes.
• May provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
• May serve as a team or task lead.
