Magellan Federal is offering a personal financial services position at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. This role involves delivering comprehensive financial counseling to military service members and their families.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering military lifecycle topics such as arrival at first duty station, pre‑ and post‑deployment, and personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication such as web‑based secure online chat or video‑based communications and secure video teleconference, as authorized by the OSD FINRED Program office.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information on trends and issues at the installation(s) assigned.
• Participate in regular in‑services, training, quality‑improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned or appropriate.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree required (associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience may be considered).
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
