Cactus Wellhead - Assembly Technician- Day shift

Manufacturing job at Cactus Wellhead position in Bossier City, LA. Day shift 5am-5pm Mon-Fri every other Saturday.

Performs a wide variety of tasks to assemble and test all Cactus or customer products.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
• Complete Short Service Employee (SSE) program for the position.
• Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify functioning and conformance to requirements.
• Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
• Verify parts clearances and fit up.
• Adjust, repair, rework or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and operation manuals.
• Maintain and lubricate parts or components.
• Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim or clean parts, use hand or power tools.
• Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

High School diploma or GED; or minimum of 0-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

• Read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves.
• Knowledge of good document control and process flow.
• Knowledge of how parts are assembled, tested and painted and the tools and equipment used.
• Knowledge of Quality System.

• Lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand and walk extended periods up to 12 hours per shift.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Work in confined spaces when required.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
• Perform repetitive movements.

• Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
• Work in high places and confined spaces.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
• Work around moving mechanical parts.
• Work in hot and cold temperatures.

• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in regular safety training.
• Complete required safety certifications.
• Comply with all environmental regulations.
