Position Summary: Global Seamless is a fast-growing company in the steel seamless piping industry. Integration of both hot finishing and cold drawn manufacturing processes in the same unit provides a distinct advantage to our consumers. We are looking for an individual who has dynamic and strategic thinking to join us as a Eddy Current Testing Machine Operator/Technician. • Operate the Eddy current testing Machine to detect short, long and continuous defects on the surface of the straight tubes using standard drill hole as per ASTMA 450 or any equivalent standard, of a particular grade, Heat number and customer, including but not limited to other NDT (non-destructive testing) like Ultrasonic testing and Hydrostatic testing.
• Monitor the eddy current testing process to ensure the design tube testing rate at specified line speed by proper adjustment of machine parameters and continuous feeding of tubes. Adjust the machine setting parameters to rectify any process deviations or changes in testing requirements.
• Conduct quality control checks by first testing the pipe with design drill hole and ensure the machine is working satisfactorily. Also check the test data recording to ensure the process is behaving normally and as required.
• If the eddy current testing process results are not satisfactory, in consultation with the production and Quality control Engineers, take corrective actions. Also identify and keep separately the non-confirming lot. It should be quarantined till further actions are planned on the same.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the machine and troubleshoot to minimize the downtime.
• Record process data and maintain accurate logs of production activities, equipment performance and maintenance schedules. Knowledge about the use of measuring instruments like Micrometer, Vernier etc. is a must. Follow material traceability and identification instructions religiously.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members, including Production and Quality control personnel, to optimize and improve the testing process efficiency and quality.
• Ensure general housekeeping in the area.

• Proven experience in quality inspection and control within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality assurance and management
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and FDA regulations
• Ability to conduct quality audits and implement quality systems effectively

Pay: $11.00 - $21.00 per hour
