We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Instrumental Music Tutor with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to deliver engaging music lessons in specialist settings and schools. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by using music as a tool for inclusion and creativity.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality music lessons and instrumental tuition tailored to the needs of SEND learners.
- Plan and adapt lessons to ensure accessibility and engagement for all pupils.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and support teams to create positive learning environments.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their musical skills and confidence.
- Proven experience teaching music to children and young people with SEND.
- Strong instrumental and classroom management skills (any instrument considered).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
- A large proportion of the teaching will take place in the districts of Boston and South Holland.
- The ability to travel is essential for the role of a peripatetic music tutor.
- Experience in group and one‑to‑one teaching.
- Knowledge of inclusive music‑making approaches.
- Ability to offer other instruments could increase the hours available.
