About the roleThe Audiology department delivers high levels of diagnostic and rehabilitative care to patients across Lincolnshire. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Senior Audiologist. You should have excellent communication skills, be innovative and flexible, and be a team player with a broad range of paediatric experience. This role provides an excellent opportunity to consolidate your knowledge and gain new clinical skills within a supportive, friendly environment.
Qualifications- Hold a BSc or MSc in Audiology or equivalent qualifications (e.g., BAAT Parts 1 and
2). - Registered with HPCP or RCCP.
- Experience with hearing assessments and objective testing such as oto‑acoustic emissions and tympanometry.
- Experience with hearing aid provision and review.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage time, prioritise conflicting demands and work with a wide range of professionals.
- Work as an independent practitioner providing routine and specialist clinical services to children and adults.
- Conduct audiological assessments and interpret results to determine future management plans.
- Verify hearing aid prescriptions using probe‑tube microphone measurements.
- Provide detailed advice to service users and colleagues.
- Support other areas, which may include audiovestibular testing, tinnitus management, adults with learning difficulties, dementia care, hearing therapy, and adult rehabilitation.
- Act as a mentor and/or supervisor for junior members and trainees within the team.
- Perform advanced electro‑medic and clinical tests, including advanced auditory assessment, non‑organic hearing loss and use of objective measures.
- Assist the Head of Service/Chief Audiologist to manage changes in practice and propose improvements to working practices or procedures.
- Ensure departmental guidelines and Trust policies are followed.
- Assist with and lead audit projects of agreed elements of the service.
- Maintain the high standards required by the service and evidence continued professional development.
This is a Trust‑wide post with the base site to be agreed. The successful applicant will be expected to work across all sites within the Trust. Full‑time and part‑time hours are considered.
