Machine Operator; Temporary

Position: Machine Operator (Temporary)
CSS is currently recruiting machine operators for a frozen food company based in Boston. This is full time temp to perm position.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday 8h rotation: 6am – 2pm, 2pm
-10pm, 10pm
-6am. Shifts rotate on a weekly basis.

Pay rate is £13.98 per hour. Overtime paid after 40h. Overtime rate is 1.5 x basic rate. Paid break.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a food processing/manufacturing environment as well as experience of operating high speed machinery, HACCP, and food safety knowledge. Training will be given but experience running any of the following machines would be advantageous:
Bosh Bagger, Multipond, Rovena, Newtech or vertical form feed machine:
Hayssen, Sandicare and high speed weighing machines:
Ishida, Yamato.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Ensure that all safety checks & procedures are followed.

* You will be running and responsible for packing machines, bagger, metal detectors.

* Running & control of a line(s) including maintaining hygiene standards while checking & completing all quality paperwork.

* Ensure all packs conform to the quality standards including final box presentation.

* Ensure the hygiene standards are maintained.

* Ensure all quality paperwork is filled in at the correct time scales.

* Washdowns should be completed in 4hrs.

* Knife and scissors control.

* Achieve targets and Quality standards.

* Carry out a suitable handover with your colleague ensuring the line is not left unattended.

* Any other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time
