Real Estate Property Accountant $85k/yr + 10% Bonus

A rapidly expanding real estate investment firm is looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join their Boston office. This role involves managing accounting functions for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. The position offers close collaboration with company leadership and provides valuable exposure to different facets of real estate financial operations. Ideal candidates thrive in an on-site setting and excel in a highly collaborative, close-knit team culture.

  • Compensation of $75,000–$85,000 a year

Responsibilities:
  • Perform full-cycle property accounting, including general ledger maintenance, posting journal entries, and month‑end close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and assist with budgeting
  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Utilize App Folio and Excel to streamline financial processes and reporting
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in a real‑estate setting
  • Proficiency with App Folio or a similar accounting software
  • Experience with residential and commercial property portfolios is a plus
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting in a real‑estate context preferred
