Senior Accountant, Global Business Services – Revenue

At Sonos, we create the ultimate listening experience for our customers, starting by listening to each other. In this hybrid role, you will oversee the outsourced revenue process, leading centralization and transition of regional processes to the GBS team.

• Maintain general ledger accounts through journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis within Flo Qast as part of month‑end close activities.
• Perform first‑level review on tasks completed by the GBS team.
• Collaborate with FP&A to lead monthly revenue meetings, including contra revenue analysis for AMPAC and EMEA.
• Work with the AR team to perform deduction review and approval.
• Lead quarterly activities such as invoice testing and cut‑off testing.
• Review and assess impacts of new or amended revenue contracts.
• Partner with FP&A, Technical Accounting, and other business partners to determine accounting impacts of business events.
• Analyze balance‑sheet and income‑statement trends to provide business insights.
• Manage audit requests from internal and external auditors, maintaining professional relationships.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end process improvements for a centralized Global Business Services model.
• Oversee transition of revenue activities to the GBS model, including SOP development and change management.
• Drive adoption of automation tools, AI, ERP enhancements, and workflow technologies.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, audit, and local statutory requirements.
• Define and monitor KPIs to track performance, fostering continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams and manage outsourced provider relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in retail or wholesale environment (SAP S4/HANA and Zuora experience preferred) or 3+ years of Big‑4 experience.
• Experience or interest in leveraging automation tools such as Alteryx, RPA, and analytic tools such as Tableau.
• Project management and process improvement skills.
• Flexibility to operate and pivot in a changing environment.

• Strong desire to learn and grow personally and professionally.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The base pay range for this role, based on geographic location, is $87,000 – $108,600.
