This position is remote but requires the candidates to be located in MA, NH, or ME. This is open to either Part time (20-30hrs weekly) or full time.

Position Overview

We are a growing small business with approximately $10 million in annual revenue seeking a highly organized and self-sufficient Full-Charge Bookkeeper
. This role will be the primary accounting professional for the company and will manage all day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on Net Suite experience
, is comfortable working independently in a lean environment, and understands the accounting needs of a small but active business. E-commerce experience is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash receipts, and general ledger
• Maintain and manage the Net Suite accounting system
  , including transaction review, chart of accounts, and reporting
• Perform monthly and year-end close
  , including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
• Manage e-commerce accounting (if applicable), including revenue recognition, payment processor reconciliations, fees, refunds, and chargebacks
• Record and reconcile inventory and COGS (as applicable)
• Process or oversee payroll entries and coordinate with third-party payroll providers
• Prepare and file sales tax and other required filings
  , including multi-state sales tax if applicable
• Support tax preparation and external accountants by providing schedules and documentation
• Assist ownership with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
• Improve and document accounting processes and internal controls appropriate for a small business

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role
• Direct experience using Net Suite is required
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and GAAP
• Experience working in a small company or entrepreneurial environment
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and discretion with confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• E-commerce accounting experience (Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, Pay Pal, or similar platforms)
• Experience with inventory-based businesses
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience supporting multi-state sales tax compliance
