The role will oversee month-end close, but will also have involvement in budgeting, finance, as well as reporting and ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in yearly budget process
• Month end, quarter end, year end close
• Responsible for the posting of cash transactions
• Review and analysis of P&L / Balance sheet accounts
• Assist with preparation of SEC filings including 10K / 10Q
• Prepare account reconciliation files for new month end
• Assist in annual audit performed by external auditors, including the preparation of adequate work papers that support the financial statements.
• Ensure organizations financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct accounts within the GL, in compliance with GAAP
• Business partner cross-functionally with department heads / members to streamline and find efficiencies in the month end process as well as other areas of accounting
• Other projects as assigned

Experience Necessary:

• 3+ years general ledger/month end close experience
• Public Accounting experience is a plus
• CPA is a plus
• Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals / Biotech experience is a plus (not required))
• Public company experience a plus
