Senior Accountant - PE backed startup

Unique opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant to step into a newly created role for this high-growth, mission-driven, startup organization.

Our client is a private-equity backed startup who is looking to bring in a Senior Accountant as the company prepares to close a Series B funding round.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated & innovative Senior Accountant who can help automate process & increase efficiency throughout the accounting group. Prior experience in public accounting / Big Four strongly preferred.

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting and will be a key member of a small team working closely with Senior Management.

The team operates mostly remotely, with occasional meetings in their Boston office. Candidates should be local to New England, with the ability to travel into Boston at least once per week, or once per month, depending on needs of the team.

Qualifications:

• BS, Accounting
• CPA, strongly preferred
• 2+ years public accounting experience (ideally Big Four)
• 3-5 total years accounting experience, including some corporate experience
• comfortable in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
• excellent technical skills, including Net Suite and Advanced Excel a plus
• Strong communicator, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization & acting as business partner to senior leadership
• passionate about being a part of a high-growth startup organization
