Assistant Regional Controller

Positions: 1 Assistant Regional Controller & 2 Project Controllers

FTE / Direct Hire

Location: Downtown Boston, MA OR Downtown Dallas, TX (onsite 4 days/week, remote
1) + some travel to jobs as needed, not a ton

Compensation: Competitive base salary + 10% bonus + FTE Benefits

• 7-10+ years of construction accounting experience
• someone coming in at one of these levels: senior controller for construction, assistant regional controller (overseeing the entire business unit accounting for construction)
• has segment responsibility + portfolio level under them for accounting
• has segment-level ownership with portfolio-level accounting responsibility, bringing a broad, big-picture view across multiple projects
• strong experience within AP/AR, project forecasting, core accounting functions across construction industry
• strong with financial reports
• used software similar to Oracle, Next Era, and Procore.
• ability to focus on operational accounting needs for a business unit
• ability to manage 5 project accountants and project controllers under them

• started career as a project accountant in construction and moved up from there

The Assistant Regional Controller serves as a senior financial leader within the construction accounting function. This role is regarded as a subject-matter authority, providing deep expertise across all core accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project forecasting. The position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, consistency, and best practices across regional operations, acting as a primary resource for both technical guidance and process improvement.

This role will manage a team of up to 5 people, and we are seeking someone with strong leadership!
