Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced finance team supporting a high-volume invoice environment. This is a Contract position expected to run for 3 to 6 months, offering regular hours with some scheduling flexibility. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in accounts payable operations, especially within Net Suite, and will be comfortable helping the team manage increased processing demands while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities:

- Manage a substantial daily invoice workload, ensuring entries are completed accurately and within expected timelines.

- Review employee expense submissions to confirm compliance, accuracy, and proper documentation before approval.

- Enter and process vendor bills in Net Suite while maintaining organized and reliable payment records.

- Coordinate vendor payments through appropriate methods, including ACH transactions and check runs, to support on-time disbursement.

- Apply correct account coding to invoices and payment records to maintain accurate financial reporting.

- Assist the accounts payable team with procure-to-pay activities, including work performed in tools such as Zip when needed.

- Contribute to testing or support activities tied to the organization's Workday implementation as requested by the finance team. Requirements - Prior experience in accounts payable within a high-volume processing environment.

- Hands-on proficiency with Net Suite is required.

- Strong understanding of invoice coding, vendor bill processing, and accounts payable controls.

- Experience handling vendor payments, including ACH transactions and check processing.

- Ability to review and validate expense reports with a high level of accuracy.

- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while managing a permanent workload.

- Previous involvement in a finance system implementation or testing effort is a strong advantage.
