AVP, International Finance - Global Private Equity Firm Hybrid | Boston

$130K-$150K Base + 30-40% Bonus | Boston, MA | Hybrid 3 days/week

A leading global private equity firm is seeking an AVP, International Finance to join its International Finance Group in Boston. This role will support global accounting operations, financial reporting, forecasting, statutory reporting, consolidations, entity support, systems improvement, and ad hoc finance projects across multiple international entities.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with a public/private mix, ideally from Big 4 or a large regional firm with international client exposure, who wants to step into a highly visible role supporting a sophisticated private equity platform. The role will work closely with internal finance leadership, international investment teams, external accounting firms, and global service providers.

• Manage full-cycle accounting for international entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, cash activity, intercompany transactions, and month-end close
• Oversee and review monthly reporting packages from local accounting firms across international jurisdictions
• Support financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, board materials, and executive-level presentations
• Manage statutory reporting, audits, tax deliverables, regulatory filings, and compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP, and internal policies
• Partner with Tax, Legal, Compliance, IT, FP&A, Fund Administration, Corporate Accounting, and international investment teams
• Support consolidations, vouchers, entity lifecycle activity, subsidiary reporting, and multi-currency financial workflows
• Help improve systems, reporting, dashboards, controls, documentation, and process automation following the firm’s recent Workday implementation

• 5-10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally with a public/private mix
• Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience strongly preferred, especially with international clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
• Strong U.S. GAAP and IFRS experience with exposure to international entities
• Experience managing or reviewing work across global entities, ideally including the UK, Asia/Pacific, Spain, or similar international markets
• Private equity or broader financial services experience highly preferred
• Strong ERP systems experience required;
  Workday experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Ability to work autonomously, control processes, liaise with external accounting firms, and communicate effectively across teams and time zones
