Senior Accountant

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will serve as a key player in corporate accounting. This role goes beyond standard journal entries; it is a highly visible position that bridges the gap between corporate finance and field operations. The ideal candidate will own full-cycle accounting, manage complex WIP and job-costing metrics, and provide the financial insights necessary to drive strategic business decisions.

• Lead fiscal close processes for multiple entities. Maintain the general ledger, execute complex journal entries, and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
• Track and calculate complex production and utilization metrics, including raw material consumption, capital utilization, and overall project cost analysis.
• Partner with Dept Heads to reconcile physical-to-book inventory counts for bulk materials. Maintain depreciation and tracking schedules for a large portfolio of equipment and multiple facilities.
• Prepare monthly P&L statements and balance sheets. Assist in the annual corporate budget process and update financial forecasts to reflect shifting operational trends.
• Manage comprehensive PO accrual tracking to ensure all goods, services, and costs are recognized in the proper period.
• Ensure strict adherence to U.S. GAAP.
• Serve as a primary liaison for external auditors, preparing all necessary work papers and schedules.
• Continuously identify and implement workflow automations to reduce close-cycle times and improve overall ERP system efficiencies.

• 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• CPA preferred
• Prefer accountant with experience in A/C/E industries
