Manager - Risk Process & Controls

Description One of Kforce's most successful financial services clients in Boston is in search of a Risk & Controls Manager to oversee fund controls, audits, vendor relationships, and operational improvement initiatives. This role is hybrid, 3 days a week, in the office. This client offers salary, strong benefits, vacation days, 401(k), and other company discounts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage fund audit cycles and coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external service providers
* Maintain policies, procedures, governance documentation, and process maps
* Support new fund and strategy launches, fund wind-downs, and other lifecycle activities
* Oversee custody processes, operational controls, and risk-remediation initiatives
* Manage Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing and follow-up activities
* Monitor vendor performance, scorecards, issues, invoices, and selected RFP processes
* Lead process improvements and strategic projects across the organization Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
* CPA, CFA, Big Four experience, and process-mapping or workflow tools are strongly preferred
* 5+ years of relevant financial services, asset management, fund operations, or public accounting experience
* Knowledge of fund operations, custody processes, audits, and operational controls
* Ability to independently manage multiple cross-functional work streams
* Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills
